Integrative, depth-oriented care for adults and adolescents — grounded in psychodynamic work, EMDR, and trauma-informed practice.
Begin the conversationYou may understand your patterns and still feel unable to change them. You might know that your anxiety is disproportionate, recognize that you are repeating the same relationship dynamics, or understand intellectually that you are worthy, safe, or capable—and yet find that something deeper doesn't seem to believe it.
I approach therapy with the understanding that many of our present-day struggles are rooted in patterns learned through earlier experiences and relationships. Over time, we develop deeply held beliefs about ourselves, other people, and the world around us. We learn what to expect from relationships, what feels safe or threatening, and how we need to behave to maintain connection, control, or a sense of security.
These patterns can continue operating outside of our conscious awareness, shaping our thoughts, emotions, relationships, and even the way our bodies respond to stress.
My approach is integrative and depth-oriented. My foundation is psychodynamic, which means we are curious about the deeper patterns, conflicts, and experiences underlying what is happening in your life today. Together, we work to understand not only what you are feeling, but why certain experiences affect you so deeply and why particular patterns continue to repeat.
But I don't believe insight always creates change on its own.
I integrate EMDR and trauma-informed, somatic approaches to help address patterns that may be held at a deeper emotional and physiological level. At times, you may logically know that something is true while your emotional experience or nervous system continues to respond as though an old threat, belief, or relationship dynamic is still present. Our work can involve helping the brain and body process experiences that have remained unresolved so that the past has less power over the present.
I also draw from ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and emotion regulation approaches. This means therapy can be practical and active. We may work on noticing and unhooking from anxious thought patterns, increasing your capacity to tolerate difficult emotions, understanding what is happening in your body, and developing ways to respond differently when you feel overwhelmed or dysregulated.
I see therapy as a process of understanding the patterns your mind and body developed for a reason—and helping you determine which of those patterns still serve you.
The goal is not simply to manage symptoms. It is to create meaningful, lasting shifts in how you understand yourself, relate to others, and move through the world.
Depth + insight. Movement + meaningful growth. Groundedness + emotional safety. Clarity + possibility.
